FAKES ALERT!

A selection of some fake items that have appeared on eBay over the last couple of years. Quite often they have a fake BLACK SHIELD to their base, a form of circular early church or most commonly GRESLEY WARE in a triangle or a purely textual “T.G. Green & Co Gresley Ware” in a single line or 2 lines - this was never used on Cornish Ware and you are unlikely to come across any other authentic T.G. Green pattern with it!

If in doubt, ask! Please be especially careful with ‘Homepride’ and ‘special promotional’ TGG pixie pieces, do ask as we will happily tell you if its right or not.

A lot of these items crop up in the Midlands/Derbyshire area of the UK sourced from alleged ‘house clearances’ etc, but they are actually usually from local Auction houses who are usually only too pleased to have some T.G. Green on their books. Take care out there.
